Jason Kidd
Jason Kidd came to the Nets in a July 2001 trade with the Phoenix Suns, which sent Stephon Marbury, Stephen Jackson & Johnny Neuman to the Suns & brought Kidd & Chris Dudley to the Nets. Kidd has made an immediate impact, driving the Nets on their way to possibly their best season in the NBA. He's already become the Nets' all-time leader in triple-doubles, picking up 6 so far this year for a total of 44 for his career, moving him into 5th place in NBA history, behind Larry Bird (59), Wilt Chamberlain (74), Magic Johnson (138) & Oscar Robertson (178). With health, luck & perseverence, Kidd should easily finish his career in second or third place all-time.

Richard Jefferson
Richard Jefferson, now in his rookie season, came to the Nets via a draft-day trade with Houston in which Jefferson (13th pick overall), Brandon Armstrong (18th) & Jason Collins (23rd) came to the Nets for the rights to Eddie Griffon (7th). He's had a fabulous season, providing a needed spark off the bench, and continues to improve on both ends of the court. His speed and explosiveness are a perfect match for the Nets' transition offense.
